It’s not unfair to say that a lot of his output feels just like the artifact of a ritual or drug reverie. Death has had no noticeable effect on Bryn Jones’s musical output. No fewer than fifty posthumous albums have hit the market because the passing, eight years ago, of the percussionist and digital musician better known as Muslimgauze. Staalplaat Records is offering a reduction subscription — “for every new Muslimgauze restricted release” — solely fifty euros.
Teaming up guitarist, Rocka Merilahti with Jylli on bass and Sami on drums, Bryn now in his mid thirties was fronting Zook. The emphasis was on songs and rhythm and live reveals were very profitable. In 2OO6 the troubadour threw his hat into the ring along with his first acoustic CD – Bug Jam Ballistic, but as quickly as the CD’s arrived from the manufacturing unit he began singing in one other band – Los Bastardos Finlandeses. Featuring wild man Twist Twist Erkinharju on drums and fellow ex-Leningrad Cowboy, Devil Virtanen on guitar, they performed a more straightforward, fast and loud fashion of rock n roll. Bassist Jussi Kinnunen had been a teenage prodigy with Hassisen Kone, but now added his experience to the songs of guitarist, Olli Kykkanen. Ben Granfelt took over guitar duties while Bryn picked up his bass guitar again.

The two posthumous variations by Staalplaat show a shade photograph of a bloodied boy in bandages, one eye swollen shut.
Jones reinvented himself, titling his project after a clumsy pun. Many of his album titles are unmistakable of their bias — The Rape of Palestine, Vote Hezbollah, United States of Islam. His song titles — “Submit to Sharia,” “Rabid Zionist Dog Muzzle,” “Israeli Bullet Passing Through the Body of a Palestinian Child” — followed go well with.
