Why the hell is his cape always magically flowing?
I don't get it, at all- and everytime we see him in the series it's always obnoxiously flowing
Every. time.

It's anime. Capes and long hair actually are sentient beings with the ability to waft with little to no air current being passed through them.

He puts too much startch in his clothing, thats why many of us refer to him as.....a D-bag. There i said it.

P.S If he's wearing a cape, shouldnt he be called Kaibaman? lol, what a prick.

it's because he's just THAT cool. That's why. :D
Haha, I'm kidding. He probably puts too much starch in his coats.

Um, hello? Generic anime character number seven? The villain-who-isn't-a-villain-but-still-acts-like-one?

It's just the way anime is.

I actually saw a doujinshi about this once. I think Seto was explaining it to Bakura... Anyways, it's because of the characters' emotional aura or something like that. The more excited they get, the higher the backs of their coats/jackets fly up. When they're depressed, the coattails fall back down. Even though it's not true in the actual series, I like to use that explanation.

Seriously though - he should see a doctor about it.

Curse him and his convoluted schemes to overthrow the fabric softening company. We will always wonder why that coat manages to stay up. Like many things, such as the meaning of life, or why I write this, will stay unknown to man for eternity.

I always explained it as the AGA: Anti-gravity ability

Even Bakura had the same thing when he wore a black Trench coat. Same with Atemu and his jacket (which he manages to wear like a cape O.o) Same with marik's cloak, Ishizu's shawl, and a little bit of Rishid/Odion's cape.

Simply put, every character with a link to Ancient Egypt has the ability to make their clothes defy gravity.
I have yet to explain how characters have extremely pointy hair.

The same reason Mai can have such DD cups and no back problems.

Simply put, it's a sign of good health and mental strength. Or lots of money. Or any distinguishing feature in anime that can be considered important. See also: Yugi's hair.

Let's not forget the same reason Yugi can hold the wieght of all the hair gel.
