GreyFox #5   Posted 4 months ago Reply I think the reason thir are a lot of over rated games is because some are just advertised way too much and recieve lots of publicity. As for over rated games, can't think of any in particular, but lots of game has some element that has been stressed far more than it deserves to be.

DrunkenPrayer #6   Posted 4 months ago Reply Super Smash Bros, seriously I might have just pre-judged it before because well I hate Nintendo fanboys and like watching them over react, but I finally played it up my mates the other day and it's just not that good. Ok it is a fanboys wet dream with all the chracters but the gameplay is as dull as dishwater.

VoodooDoll #8   Posted 4 months ago Reply I would have to say Paper Mario - The Thousand Year Door. I enjoyed playing it, but I certainly don't think it was as fantastic as people made it out to be. I will admit, I haven't played any of the other Paper Mario games, so I don't know if they're better or not. I will say, I played Ocarina of Time when it first came out, and at the time, I hadn't played a game that even came close to it's amazingness. But, I can easily see where you could find it to be overrated.

Mullon #14   Posted 4 months ago Reply Hmm...I know a lot of overrated movies. Games are harder. I would go with Halo definately. Metal Gear Solid 2 was pretty overrated. Final Fantasy XII at least from the press, I have yet to hear anyone actually say they liked it. Oh, and basically every really hard NES game that his been put on a list by any asshole with a website instead of games made after 1993.

The original Halo is not the slightest overrated, people who hadn\'t played Halo before Halo 2 had no idea what they missed. Dead or Alive games aren\'t rated well at all. Final Fantasy aren\'t overrated at all I think, FFVII has become overrated because of all the related media. I'd consider an overrated game a shit game that still has a fanbase.

Also, FF VII in my opinion is not overrated, but Advent Children is. Also, to post 1: I prefered Galaxy to Sunshine, It had far better level design. And no Super Soaker. I think I'm done here.
