At this point I'd rather prefer if Zelda went to Microsoft. Not for achievements, forget that. But rather Nintendo is planning on dumbing down all of their franchises to help them reach this larger audience they're trying to acquire with the Wii. I mean... you can't really dumb down something like Twilight Princess without having it just tell you where to go.

tl;dr: Nintendo's about to rape their franchises, would rather microsoft have them right now.

When has it been shown or implied any that they're planning on dumbing down their franchises that they know are targeted toward the hardcore gamers?

Besides, even if this were to happen, Nintendo would still be holding the cards. Since they'd be the ones to make the games. =/

Well given that Bungie are pretty much just going to milk the Halo franchise for all it's worth now honestly nothing would suprise me.
hum isn't that what nintendo does with all its franchises???? Also drunken player like to see you back on fourm bringing your hatred of halo into every single topic posible!
Halo's generic shit. =/

I'd say they give them Rare.
I say we give you to hungry zombies, honeslty fuc*in halo haters!!

But on topic: Zelda coming to 360? wouldn't effect my life really since if you've played one zelda you played them all except from maybe windwaker and phantom hour glass (which by the way runined zelda for me) but still zelda has now been and gone for me!

wow good cameback but if you want to play that game:
Lol, you people make me feel sorry for how sad to our to constanlty complain about a game you can't understand is so popular so i reffer you to this
www.associatedcontent.com/article/381837/what_makes_halo_so_popular.html?cat=19]

mainly this bit:
Being so popular also means you will be hated and the Halo series have received more than a fair share of it. Non-fans often criticize the game as being just another generic shooter. They argued that all the "revolutionary" stuff that Halo bought to the table was already done before on the PC and other less notable console games.

Another complaint is that Halo offers nothing compelling. Although Halo's artwork and storyline may have some fans, they both seem generic and uninspiring for outsiders.

For a series that supposedly lack any inventive gameplay and compelling content, Halo is still a best seller and a critical success (with both Halo and Halo 2 winning numerous Game of the Year awards). Most of the Halo hate comes from jealousy of the franchise's popularity

I thought this thread is about Zelda.

Besides Zelda is the cause of generic shittery too since most adventure games spawned from it. It's just hard to tell if an adventure game is shit because there's so much to do in the game.

Besides, where's the proof that it isn't generic? All i see is rambling about how great it is. =/

It's hard to resist the temptation of being elitist in such a small forum.

Oh, wait. I can see this working in a way where everyone would be happy.
Scrap epona and get a warthog, rename navi cortana cause they're pratically the same anyway and swap the bow and arrow with a sniper.
=D I'm a genius.

So you're just basically whining over something on the internet? Seriously, grow up.

You can't grow up over the web, somebody who cares so much should ignore and shut up, that's the best way to grow up.

That goes for everyone, even me.

Listen to their last E3 conference. Also: have you PLAYED Twilight Princess? It was one of the easiest Zelda games there's been.

I thought the Minish Cap was the easiest.

Yes, I have. I found it about as difficult as a majority of the Zelda games.

Also, before you say anything, I have played through all of them. (Except the CD-i ones)

Would never happen...
Nintendo would never get rid of something they could milk so freely.

Just remake the same game over and over and over and over again...and the fans will keep buying it.

That's what we are going on here Nintendo, right?

That pretty much sums up any game companies right there. =/

Besides, that sounds more like Mario.

If you are going to have a Zelda game on the 360 (which I don't encourage) then LoZ:OoT is not the best pick. Although the most popular Zelda game out there, I can see Nintendo making a raw deal for the rights to release a version of the game on the 360, but perhaps a new Zelda game may make an appearance on the 360. I say this because here I thought Square Enix would stay on Sony systems and here I see the Microsoft will be releasing FFXIII on the 360, go figure.

As ridiculously unlikely as it is, I would like it. I think the two Ocarina games deserve next-gen graphics, and I'd rather play Zelda with a normal controller than a frickin' WiiMote. But I'd rather see a Twilight Princess sequel than a remake.
Also, Nintendo seems to be on shaky ground right now, so they could still go the way of the Sega.

Ir would have been a possibilty if it was in early 90's/late 80's (cd-i) and weren't nintendo and sony some point working on helping each other infor the last-gen?? (I heard it somewhere and if it was true it would feel ironic sinces then the ones they "helped" into the videogame-industry (sony and nintendo was working on cd add-on for snes) would become their biggest rivals and their then current rivals would be nutralised(this was unnecesseryely long >_>))

Two ocarina games??
and still that game wouldn't need a remake : It already had enough of spot time.

Yeah, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask, the direct sequel. Every generation of Link gets a sequel, except Twilight Princess, which is still fairly recent.

altp, four swords, oot/oos, Minish cup, links awakening
and if so then every game is a sequal just that we don't know when

No,no,no, here's how it goes, now pay attention:
There are 2 categories of Zelda Sequel, I call them Production Sequels, which are any Zelda game other than the very first LoZ, and Direct Sequels, which follow a previously established version of Link:
The Link from Zelda I & II saves the princess from Ganon, and then a Ganon-worshipping cult, and then we never see him again
The Link from ALttP & Link's Awakening travels between dimensions and saves Hyrule, then goes exploring and is marooned on an island
The Link from Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask jumps between either side of a seven-year time period and saves Hyrule, becomes a child again and chases a Skull Kid into an alternate universe
The Link from the Oracle games goes through two alternate versions of the same story...somehow
The Link from Minish Cap, Four Swords and FSA gains the power to multiply himself and fights Vaati
The Link from Wind Waker & Phantom Hourglass lives in a sea on top of where Hyrule was, fights the same version of Ganondorf who was in Ocarina of Time, then goes exploring and is marooned on an island (deja vu), except he finds a new boat
The latest version of Link has only appeared in Twilight Princess (and Crossbow Training, but I don't count that one)
Xats, you damn well better understand that now.
