PSO is basically World of Warcraft, but with a very sci-fi feel to it. It flows a lot faster, and the whole control setup uses only three buttons as opposed to WoW's crazy nine-thousand button interface, so it's a lot easier to get into. Also, you get to kill things to TECHNO MUSIC. Like Daft Punk. But not really. It's still good though. DAFT PUNK, PEOPLE. Moving on, we've got a spiffy logo.
PACHOW there it is. Isn't it nice? Omega drew it. You know Omega, don't you? He's a moderator. Don't feel bad if you don't know him. He's not important. Well, he is, since he's the team leader. That's the only reason why. Also because he's a moderator. Respect him. Don't. Whatever, see if I care. I do care. Shut up. Ok. So, you might be asking, "What the hell is this guy on?"

Next you might be asking, "do I have to pay for this? I already pay too much for my meds, even with the 4 dollars generic deal I'm getting."
This game is entirely FREE TO PLAY. You will not pay anything. Maybe some of your social life will be lost, but hey, it isn't like it was that great in the first place. We play on Schtserv, a free server, and a great one to boot. You can download it at www.psobb.com. It's not too big, and it runs rather smoothely, even on dialup. I use dialup. Download this out of pity, for me! Or Kroze. He is so very very lonely.

So you might be asking (more questions, yahoo!) "Why would I bother playing this game?"
Well, that's a tough question, and you shouldn't have asked it, because I wasn't prepared, and this is making me look really bad.
You'll be playing with Me, Omega, and... Kroze! That's right, everyone's favorite Administrator to hate (what?) is playing this with us. So you can pretty much ask all the dumb questions you want ingame while killing things and he can't even ban you for it. It isn't his game! It's not his game, right? I hope not. I don't want to get banned.
(We're still in the process of applying for a clan. Omega has one set up for his webcomic, Death By Pixel already, and we're starting anew here, at The Abridged Series; hence the name "Death By Abridged", since we'll be combining users from both fanbases. We'll let you know when the clan is up and exactly how to apply.)

TUTORIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL
hokay
1. Click the Start button.
2. My Computer.
3. Drive C.
4. WINDOWS
5. System32
6. Drivers
7. Etc.
8. Right click on "Hosts" and open in note pad.
9. Paste
"207.210.93.28 game01.us.segaonline.jp" into the bottom. It should look like this.
Now, you're ready to log onto the Schtack server! |
