Hm, not sure about that. When I switched from PSO to PSU I loved it. Huge difference in graphics, a extremely large personalization of your character (which I love in online games), and balancing out between forces/hunters overall. Forces in PSO become a lot weaker later on when you're trying to fight hordes of enemies, especially on Ultimate mode. PSU also helps the Forces in the sense that you can cast for a lot longer before having to recharge. PSU in general is a lot faster paced. The only real problem is that it got hacked and screwed up way to fast (Precisely why I play the X360 version, since Microsoft actually gives a care), but in general I think it was an improvement.
Hopefully the expansion for it will bring a lot of what they promised us in the first place, though. |

BTW, I think in higher lvls FOrces get broken in PSO o.O, maybe thats just me :P

Granted, I know you did the same in PSO, but... I dunno, it just felt a lot more fun in that for some reason. |

| #72 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | That's pretty much what I meant. FOs end up taking a serious support role whereas they were a lot better at soloing before then. HUs and RAs with techs can solo very well in Ultimate if you're careful. In PSU, you can solo at pretty much any level on any profession.
Maybe if the interface for PSO wasn't so "chunky", too, like the annoying auto target system, only walking when near enemies, and pretty much everything feeling like its in slow motion compared to PSU. I dunno, maybe I just enjoy the crazy hack and slash in PSU more than you guys. :P

| #73 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I never liked PSU much at all. It feels like it tried to "fix" everything that was fun about PSO to begin with; methods of finding rare items, progressive level design, a subtle sense of humor and over-the-top weapons, none of which PSU has.

Also, FOs in BB are support because it keeps them in check. You're useless as a FO without anyone, and anyone is useless without a FO. It helps the rest to appreciate the FO and keep the FO's ego in check. Because there are a lot of Forces who think that they're all that in a bag of chips. Delicious chips. You know the Krunchers Jalapeno? That good is how they think they are. In reality they're just those generic pick 'n save chips. You know the ones. |

There are ways to link GC and XBox to the server as well, albeit a lot more tedious. Maybe I should do that, since I wouldn't mind playing my old characters. :P
Then again, I wouldn't be able to go on Episode 4. |

| #84 Posted 1 year ago | Reply | I've been sooo left out of the MMORPG scene since MapleStory (it was a dark time in my life, although I made a fashion statement). Granado Espada was a very pretty waste of time. It was beautiful, but a waste of time (auto-hunting = legalized bots, the F**K!?)
Anyway, I prolly shouldn't get into this, but I would.
I'd like to join a clan, but I'm more of a soloer than a team player, what's a good race for that?
