Don't really think there are many Black Metal fans in this forum. Most kids here listen to shit nu metal like Disturbed and Slipcock.

Nonetheless. I don't like black metal either, the music is too boring and it's made by braindead satan worshippers...
No offense.

i wont take offense to the braindead satanic's part. but i like Slipknot. so, take that to a haters forum, will ya? and slipknot n disturbed are far from nu-metal.

Black Metal eh, 99.9% of it is utter tripe and most of bands you listed I wouldn't even consider black metal anyway. I'm suprised you didn't mention Cradle of Filth with Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth and Satyricon on there. Elt is pretty much right on the money though, you can't deny Slipknot and Disturbed being nu metal and generally Black metal is just Death Metal without balls and a bunch of idiots wearing posing as corpses and complaining about how much they hate religion.

So to answer your question, no. We do not have black metal fans in here, just a vast amount of faggotry and Linkin Park.

Strictley speaking, as in down to the most raw definitions neither of them are nu metal but as far as what is usually accepted as nu metal nowadays, they are undoubtedly placeable within that genre. Even if there is a noticable deifference between them and acts like Linken Park and LImp Bizkit who in turn are actually better as they are the first step most peopel take in getting into better music when they are like 11.

Oh and no, nobody listens to rotting christ... because they have the worst band name in the history of music followed closely by dying fetus and cattle decapitation.

I don't listen to a whole lot of black metal save for the occasional melodic black metal band. But I can appreciate the general ambiance Deathspell Omega has managed to create with their latest 2 albums and EP.

According to Wikipedia, I listen to one black metal song... Or it might just be the band... I dunno... It's The Final Chapter by Hypocrisy... Any enlightenment on this maybe-wrong thingamabob?

Oh man I love Hypocrisy.

But they're usually classified as Blackened-Death Metal or sometimes as Melodic Death Metal.

I have no idea why those genre names are capitalized.

there's always been a lot of debate over if they're black metal. I don't consider them that, but they're definitely attempting the black metal look.

I've never listened to them since the first thing I heard by them was their bastardization of "Hallowed Be Thy Name".

Strapping Young Lad, Naglfar and Omnicide are totally awesome. You should check them out.

I'm a big fan of Death/Black Metal. But not in America!

Strapping Young Lad is neither death or black metal ... That's why it's so awesome!

yea. the only good American black metal bands are Dragonlord and Sothis. otherwise, Norway is basically the kings of black metal. Sweden isnt too far behind them, since they have the most true black metal band ever (Marduk)
