I read those and, wow, I was impressed and shocked. HOW COULD 4Kids TURN IT INTO A CHILDRENS CARD GAME THING WHERE NO-ONE DIES???? It is really good though. I have a super special awesome webpage for reading mangas online for free.

What are you talking about manga or something? Because I don't get it when someone says, "thing"

It's a manga, yeah. 'thing' here stands for 'an anime series'. 'kay?

uh, do you mean the first seven volumes of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga?
yes, and I absolutely love it. I have all the volumes of
Yu-Gi-Oh! 1-7
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist 8-31
Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World 32-38
I also have the BoBobo manga, which has Atem popping out of BoBobo's afro.

I love it too. I've only read the Shadow Games one though. The super violent japanese version. (Translated, of course...)

Shadow Games is the regular Yu-Gi-Oh one.

I own volume 6 because that's when Bakura appears and I couldn't resist buying it (I'd buy more but I need to save some money). I've also read volume 1 and I've seen the anime version of this series and it's quite good. Different from the Yu-Gi-Oh we all know better, but still really good.

You mean the very first part of the story around when Yugi first gets the Millenium Puzzle? Yeah, that was in the Shonen Jump magazine so I read it.

Yes, I read it. The art sucks.

And no, 4Kids didn't force Takahashi to turn it into a series based on a children's card game, his editors did.

Well yeah, the art was worse because it was the very beginning of the series. You can't really blame the manga-ka (forget his name)

I know...I know. Most manga-kas usually start out mediocre.

And I just wrote his name in my previous post. Takahashi. Kazuki Takahashi. o_o

I remember reading that Takahashi originally wanted it to be a series that would expose kids to all sorts of games, not just card games (although they did have Monsters and Wizards). I loved the part where they played an RPG (with miniatures!) with Bakura (Monster World story arc). Everything about Yugi was so great in that part... His Magic Hands that rubbed enemies and chibi-fied them... And one of his monsters looked so much like Kirby that I forget its name.
