Let's be honest for a moment, I LOVE TAS, but the only reason I'd buy a shirt would be to give as a funny present to a fellow TAS lover. And I'd probably get it big so that person could wear it to sleep in. I'm all for supporting/spreading the love (I'd rock a keychain in a heartbeat) but c'mon, who actually buys the shirts to wear in public?

Eh, I've always been a sucker for buying shirts connected to stuff I love, e.g. all the webcomics I read.
Plus, knowing the people who go to the school I go to, I'm going to be basking in the light of a bunch of confused stares this coming school year. Huzzah!

I also like your keychain idea - I know a few of my friends would eat those up, and my backpack is pretty boring looking as of late.

I bought one, & I intend to buy more. Not merely to support the cause, but because they're just silly.

I like all the people who stop for a minute & say to themselves "Super Special Awesome..?"

I haven't bought a T-shirt. I think they're a great idea, and I'd love to walk around wearing "Screw the rules, I have money" (not sure the school administrators would feel the same, though), but none of the shirts are really what I like to wear. It'd be fun to make my own, though. :)

I was going to, until I found out that LK/this site doesn't get any of the money, so I'd rather just make my own. Which is what this thread is about :)

And yes, if I get around to making those, I will absolutely wear them in public. And probably give them to friends. And try and convince them to co-ordinate as often as possible.

I bought a "My Voice Gives Me Super Strength" shirt. I intend to wear it in public as much as possible *nod* It's gonna be my good luck shirt for Chorus :}B

As jwaltz said, "I'm going to be basking in the light of a bunch of confused stares this coming school year. Huzzah!"

That's awesome that you guys are gonna wear the shirts in public. More power to you! I'm glad that people are putting the shirts to use, I guess it's just me who personally wouldn't. However, if I ever saw someone at my school wearing one I'd run up to them and give them a big hug! ^_^

PS
PrincessCatnip. . . it amuses me in the greatest way that you're gonna rock the "my voice gives me super strength" shirt in chorus! Great idea! *high five!*

The only thing that I didn't like about the shirt was the "yugiohabridged.com". NOW, I'm all for supporting the site and making people aware of what they're missing, but if I'm walking around school with "yugioh" on my back, people might get the wrong impression and not even ask me about it. However, I would wear it anywhere else.

I'd wear the Mai shirt to a convention and purposefully walk through the TCG hall just to see the chaos ensue. I really can't decide what I want more, that or the "Your Mother plays card games in Hell"....

you stole my thread idea , i think the fact that it says www.yugiohtheabridgedseries.com on the back of the shirt makes it a little annoying, people behind you could be laughing at you, id buy one if it didnt say that on the back, you could just tell peps where you get the shirt from, besides you can make your own shirt on printfection, so no need to buy it here

We are coming out with WAY better designs (With having an actual artist do the shirts) and leaving printfection very soon....

And about the URL... what it we had "theabridgedseries.com" or "YGOTAS.com" on there?
Would that be better?

I'd get one if there were a tanktop... <__< (I'm a girl.)

(Ok, for all of you who don't know me... which is practically everyone... sleeves make me sweat like a thing that sweats a lot. I've tailored a lot of shirts, but they all come out awkward looking and stuff...)

I don't like buying shirts from the internet and then attempting (and failing quite often) to tailor them to how I like them...

But if someone bought me one, I'd be a happy camper.

yes the shirts do need to change their design. their basically text and thats it. I am pretty sure TAS may rake a net profit of about 50 % here depending on who TAS goes to.

The "Just text" issue is totally being fixed...
I have shown off the new version of "Screw the rules" shirt in the IRC and everyone agrees its 98% less suck then the current one.
And yeah... we aren't getting any profit at all from the shirts and we don't want to.
And 50% is a BIT extreme for anyone to make off their own shirts IMO.

i think just the fact it has a website on it is the problem, maybe adding it to the inside of the shirt, or the label maybe?

I very strongly disagree.

When I wear a shirt for something online, I like to let people know where it's from, so if they have the inclination to see what it's referencing, they know where to go. I don't understand why you wouldn't want the URL there, I guess there's the "I don't want to be a human billboard" feeling that some people have, but it's not like you're paying some company just to give them more advertising - they're not even getting money for the shirts, and YGO:TAS is something I definitely want more people to go to and see, especially if I'm wearing something like "Your mother plays card games in Hell" and they think it's hilarious... then they should definitely get the URL for the site, since it'll be more of the same humour.

For that matter, most webcomics and websites with shirts usually put the URL on the shirt somewhere anyway, generally on the back or sleeve (where it won't interfere with the main design of the shirt), so I hardly see why you seem so shocked and horrified

id prefer it on the sleeve, certainly in this country you get the certain crowd who would laugh at you because you have the word yugioh on the back, and if they have no idea what it is, they arnt going to pull out a pad and pen and write the URLdown, they will instantly think omg he's got yugioh on his shirt

Kroze, theabridgedseries.com would probably better. also, whats that new idea for the screw the rules t-shirt?

Well, whatever you do, don't put some abbreviated version of the URL that doesn't actually get someone to the site. That would defeat the purpose entirely.

I'm still intending to buy at least the Screw the Rules and Super Special Awesome ones really soon...although I kinda wanted to wait till they got the new designs the mods have been hinting at so I could buy several at one time. *pokes the mods in hopes of new designs soon* I don't have any problem at all buying/wearing them. I definitely want to buy them to wear in public! If I can't wear them out into public and cause stares, confusion, and inside smirks and thumbs-ups with fellow fans then where's the fun? I go around in public wearing Yugioh shirts I bought from K-mart or won at DM previews with no shame, TAS shirts would be no exception. v.v (Heck, even my car's front license plate says Puzzleshipper, you should see the odd looks I get driving down the road...)

""(Heck, even my car's front license plate says Puzzleshipper, you should see the odd looks I get driving down the road...)""

with the amount of accidents you must have caused, you should be proud!

I still want to buy the shirts, though I am curious what the new designs will be (despite the new S.S.A. and ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney) I would buy the "your mother plays card games in hell" one, but...not enough people would get it. not yet anyway. I'm spreading the word around my 4300 student school about Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series. After several dozen initally shocked faces...it's amazing how the word YGO can constitute a laugh out of 15,16,17,and 18 year old teens. 8D
Freakin awesome

When enough people know about it...that shirt will be a walking billboard. ;)

I intend to get a My Breasts Challenge You to a Duel! shirt eventually. (Since I have large, noticeable boobs.) And while having Yugioh! on the back of a shirt wouldn't be the proudest thing I've ever done, it wouldn't bother me really. (So long as it's not friggin' HUGE.) Seriously, if some random person was retarded enough to say something about something I chose to wear, I'd tell 'em to go to fuck themselves. Hell, I still occasionally wear my DBZ shirt that I've had for seven years. Then again, once you've made it to college and settled down, caring about what other people think tends fly out the window. Having a CLEAN shirt is way more important that what's on it.

... Am I the only college student here?

Oh, and what are the measurements for the shirts? I know sizes tend to vary, and I want to make sure I get one that fits over my boobs and doesn't hang on me like a sack... and plan on wearing it regularly. Because it'll be frickin' hilarious.

ETA: I'd also like it more if the Breasts shirt came in black and pink (or blue or green) instead of white and pink.

At Nekocon I bought the 'Screw the rules I have money!" and "Your mother plays children's card games in hell" Though I wish the Screw the rules i have money shirt had something on the front that said something else or about the series, i keep getting looks like I'm one of those spoiled little girls>_<, but you know what? Screw those people I got Yu-gi-oh the abridged shirts!

Yeah, once Jojo's shirts come out, I'd prefer if they didn't say YUGIOHtheabridgedseries.com...because yugioh is frowned down upon in my school. Possibly a YGOAbridged.com?
