Omlette #7   Posted 4 months ago Reply Wall-E was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It was adorable, profound, suspenseful, and cute, all at the same time. It was also slightly political (the phrase "stay the course" is used), but not extremely so. I also saw it at my local Cinerama, which has a 100-foot wide screen. Fun fun. :)

MrsSallyBakura #9   Posted 4 months ago Reply I personally loved this movie, but I heard some complaints about how it's "too environmental" and how it gets shoved down your throat. I didn't really feel that way because even though I don't really feel strongly about the environment in cases like this, it does have a point. If we get to the point where we rely on technology so much, we'll lose touch with our humanity. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the environment, it's just that what happened on Earth in the meantime was one of the side-effects. It also apparently got a huge negative response from conservatives for being too environmental and anti-consumerist. But on the other hand part of being liberal is change and moving forward, including moving forward in technology, and in the end the humans all wanted to go back to the way things were. I guess it also showed how both ideologies can agree on something. Plus you just gotta love Wall-E and Eve. I get into a giggle fit every time I hear Wall-E's voice.

DrunkenPrayer #11   Posted 3 months ago Reply It's quite possibly topped Finding Nemo as my favourite Pixar movie. The whole thing was so out there but believable at the same time despite the lack of proper dialogue the main chracters were extremely human. The scene with Wall-E holding the umbrella over EVE while she's in sleep mode had me in stitches but awwwing at the same time. The fact that the enviromental message is there but not crammed down your throat was nice touch.

Amber #13   Posted 3 months ago Reply I loved Wall-E, for basically all of the same reasons people above have stated. I went the first time with my little sister and I think I enjoyed it more than she did. The second time I dragged my boyfriend and his aunt with me, and they loved it too. The humour was great -- especially since most of it was through body language. Wall-E and Eve were so cute, as well.

It was very funny in places and had some breathtaking animation, mainly from the scenes in space. The story was charming as well, probably most in the first 15 minutes when it was just Wall-E and Eve alone on earth. I think the mood was spoiled a bit when they introduced the humans, other than that great film.

Emmy #18   Posted 3 months ago Reply I went to see Wall-E with my family, and usually we all adore Pixar. This time, I thought it was the best film I've ever seen ever in my life ever, my brother liked it, and both my parents thought it was really boring! I don't understand! I was SO impressed with the characterisation they achieved. I mean, I was a little worried when I heard the robots are the main characters, and don't talk, but they were so expressive. I adored Eve, I loved the way she laughed. And I thought it was hilarious the way she shot everything!!
