| #91 Posted 2 months ago | Reply | Does 4kdis have a telephone number where I can file a complaint, I mean this is a disaster. 4kids did a pretty good job with dubbing gx, actually I didnt even complain when english gx came out because the voice overs were perfect and so the soundtrack, I enjoyed it, I actually was dissapointed from 5d's.
4kids just butchered the shit out of the voices, the starting song, the story line, pretty much the whole show. I mean come on, Jack sounds like f'ing crocodile hunter when he should sound though or something close to Seto Kaiba, Yusei Sounds like tristan where he should have a voice of a calm and cool person, Rally sounds like a guy though he looks like a girl.And the announcer guy doesn't even sound hype as hell like he did in the original 5d's. I think I could write a book on this.
Man I can't wait till the next episodes come just to see who else's voice they screw up and see how more they butchered the story line. |

I just remember noticing the sign when I watched the first episode in japanese and noticed it was edited out this time for some unknown reason. They seemed to make it a big deal at the end that he was looking at Domino city in the dub so I guess they were just trying to make it as big a mystery as possible when they edited it.
I really think it's unfair to criticise a show and compare it to it's original japanese version. I like the dub because it's good and try not to get worked up about silly things like keeping it the same for the translation.
To be honest, the biggest surprize for me was when they kept the part where speed warrior kicks the dog in the face in the show and didn't edit it at all. Kicking dogs in the face, even if they ARE holograms, isn't something I'd have thought 4Kids would have allowed to be in the show. |
