By far the biggest news to hit the fantasy-verse during a usual slow day was the revelation that Dumbledore, or is it Dimbledore, was gay, outed by JK Rowling. Big whoop.
Why so cavelier about this? Simple. The series is OVER. JK can't make use of this little tidbit as the books are finished, and oh yeah, Dumbledimp is D.E. A. D. It's a nice idea, and we could all do with more positive gay role models, but to be honest, this smells a bit of PR, that Rowling mentioned this just to get everyone interested in Harry again until his next dull movie outing.
If Rowling's revelation got you re-reading the books again, good. They are very good stories. But this recent "outing" is little more than a poor attempt at shock value. So Dumpledill is gay. What's the big deal?
